Akuma has secret Easter egg Super Arts and abilities in Street Fighter 6 and here’s how to unlock them

You’ll probably never pull them off in a real match though

Akuma first showed up as a hidden boss fight all the way back in Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, and it looks like he’s still carrying new secrets around 30 years later.

With the demon’s launch alongside the new Season 2 balance update, it was quickly discovered that Akuma has some hidden Super Arts and abilities in Street Fighter 6.

At first, some players found that the new DLC character’s back taunt holds a special boost that takes a bit of time to pull off.

From our testing, you must hold down and continue to press all three punch and kick buttons (our just taunt input) after the animation starts. You don’t have to mash super hard since we found pressing the buttons around every 30–40 frames or so seemed to do the trick consistently.

Once ten or so seconds have passed, Akuma will actually pull out a rice ball and start eating with his back turned. At this point you can stop pressing the buttons.

The hungry demon will continue to enjoy his mid-battle snack with each bite giving him more Super meter. First half a bar, then another, followed by a full bar, and he’ll max out to level 3 if the whole animation plays out.

Upon the last bite, Akuma’s eyes will glow and show a purple aura come off of him as he says “I am satiated.”

That’s how the true secret unlocks.

Akuma gets not one but two hidden Super Arts once the animation is complete and they both cost two bars.

The first of which is his ground slam Kongou Kokuretsuzan from Street Fighter 3: Third Strike, which is also similar to his Street Fighter 5 Critical Art, Sekia Kuretsuha.

This move is performed by pressing down, down and all three punches, and it seems like he calls the Super “Adamant Cleaver” in the English dub.

His second secret Super is the Misogi, which first appeared with Shin Akuma in Capcom vs. SNK 2.

The overhead teleport, which is also like Kage’s V-Trigger 2 in SF5, can be performed with double quarter circle back and kick.

With his aerial level 1 and Shun Goku Satsu, this technically gives the demon a whopping 7 different Super Arts in SF6.

It’s not just different Supers he receives either, however.

While in this powered up state, Akuma also gains access to his double air fireball by pressing quarter circle back and two punches while jumping forward.

These changes seem to stick around for at least the full round if not the whole match, but you’ll probably never actually pull this off considering the whole taunt animation takes around 30 seconds to complete.

It may also appear a bit random, but this Easter egg basically transforms the fighter into his SiRN Akuma boss fight form that players can now fight against in the Giant Attack event currently going on in the Battle Hub.

So it seems like the developers wanted to give players a cheeky way to play as the powered up / altered fighter themselves similar to Shin Akuma in the past.

We’re just wondering if they expected it to be discovered this quickly.

There could still be more secrets and changes made to this playable SiRN Akuma as well though more experimentation will need to be done.

It’s very fun to see the development team still won’t shy away from hiding things in their fighting game for players to uncover.
