Chris Kreider ended Rangers’ power-play drought at perfect time

Highlights from the Rangers’ 5-3 Game 6 win over the Hurricanes on Thursday night to advance to the Eastern Conference Final.

1. Chris Kreider

Who else but Kreider, whose third-period natural hat trick gave the Rangers the lead after Carolina had jumped ahead 3-1 over the first 40 minutes?

2. Vincent Trocheck

Anyone on the second line could go here after an excellent night from the trio, but Trocheck gets the nod for his second-period goal.

3. Jordan Martinook

It didn’t make the difference in the end, but Martinook’s Superman dive to stop a sure Ryan Lindgren goal in the second period was the best individual play of the series and deserved some recognition.
